The London borough of Redbridge is set in East London, seven miles from the City. Redbridge is a diverse borough with lush green spaces, sports facilities and bustling shopping centres. A leafy suburb, a third of which is green-belt, and which contains part of Epping Forest within it's boundaries. Redbridge is home to many of the East London's wealthier residents. Redbridge offers excellent transport links and a selection of good schools.
Redbridge stretches from the Victorian and Edwardian terraces of Ilford, Goodmayes and Seven Kings to the wealthy, detached homes of Woodford, fringing the borders of the Epping Forest.
Home to one of London's largest and most established Jewish communities, the area has a respectable, family air to it. Clayhall boasts larger, more expensive homes and decent local schools.
The Firs Estate, which borders Epping Forest, boasts the areas most sought after housing. Proximity to the tube station and the best schools influences house prices greatly.
Seven Kings offers smaller properties than those to be found in Goodmayes. Larger Edwardian houses and Bungalows predominate in the roads south of Green Lane.
South Woodford offers a good selection of Edwardian terraces, popular with city workers and young professionals drawn to the tube line and a painless journey into town. Prices aren't cheap but there are a number of bargains to be snapped up.
